Hemianthus micranthemoides, also known as Pearlweed or Baby Tears, is a fast-growing and bushy plant that originates from North America. It features small, bright green leaves that resemble miniature oak tree leaves. The delicate appearance and vibrant coloration of this plant make it a popular choice for creating lush and natural-looking aquascapes.

Hemianthus micranthemoides thrives under moderate to high lighting conditions, typically around 2-3 watts per gallon (0.5-0.8 watts per liter). It can adapt to a wide range of water parameters, but it generally prefers a slightly acidic to neutral pH level of 6-7.5. The temperature should be maintained between 68-82°F (20-28°C). If necessary, provide additional CO2 supplementation and regular fertilization to promote optimal growth.

Hemianthus micranthemoides is a versatile plant that can be used in various placements within your aquascape. It works well as a midground or background plant, where its bushy growth habit can add depth and visual interest.
