Marsilea angustifolia is a unique and attractive aquatic plant that belongs to the Marsileaceae family. It features delicate, narrow leaflets that resemble clover and can range in color from light green to reddish-brown, depending on the lighting conditions. This plant has a creeping growth habit and can form a dense carpet when given the right conditions. Marsilea angustifolia is native to regions in Asia, particularly in India and Sri Lanka. It is typically found growing in muddy or marshy areas, often along the margins of bodies of water.

Marsilea angustifolia can thrive under a wide range of lighting conditions, but it generally prefers moderate to high light levels. Aim for around 2-3 watts per gallon (0.5-0.8 watts per liter) to encourage optimal growth. It can adapt to various water parameters, but it prefers a slightly acidic to neutral pH level of 6-7.5. The temperature should be maintained between 68-82°F (20-28°C).

Marsilea angustifolia is commonly used as a foreground and carpeting plant in aquascapes. Its creeping habit make it an excellent choice for creating lush and natural-looking carpets.
